PARSOL® DHHB (INCI: Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate) is an efficient UVA absorber for sunscreen, face care and color cosmetic formulations. It enables broadband protection when combined with effective UVB filters and can also contribute to SPF. PARSOL® DHHB is an oil-soluble, off-white to pale yellow powder that must be completely solubilized in formulations. It is compatible with all UVB filters on the market and is compatible with zinc oxide and iron oxides, which makes it fit for purpose in hybrid formulations. With its good eco score, PARSOL® DHHB also enables formulators to develop high eco-class  formulations (DSM Sunscreen Optimizer™ 2.0).  And like all our UV filters, it is backed by a comprehensive package of services, designed to keep you ahead in this market.

  • PARSOL® DHHB is an oil soluble solid. Adequate amounts of suitable solvent should be chosen to avoid recrystallization of PARSOL® DHHB during storage. PARSOL® DHHB shows good solubility to other UV absorbers and to a large range of emollients.
